Immersion heather - Joule's Law (from
Experiment instruction)
.....Pour 300 ml petroleum into each of
the 2 vessels and place a coil in each, connecting them in series.
Note the initial temperature of each
versel, and allow current to flow for approximately 5 minutes.
Stir and read the final temperature of
the liquid in each of the vessels.Observe that the temperature of the
liquid in the vessel with the 10
resistance has increased by twice that of the vessel with the 5
resistance.......
